Sesquicentennial Events

There is a lot to do at the Old Mill and Mann School House.  We welcome individual, family and group participation.

The Historical Society in conjunction with the Brandon Library has numerous events planned in celebration of the Mill’s 150th.  There is ample room for involvement.  Call to participate and volunteer in making this a most memorable year!

When your talking 150 years old!  Imagine the screws that need tightened, the nails that popped, the light bulb that needs replaced, the shelves that need built….  carpentry skills are always welcome and needed!

This may sound easy, but it takes some time and study.  Various celebrations at the Mill take place and we are always looking for a historically accurate festive touch.  If this is up your ladder, we look forward to hearing from you.

The history of the village of Ortonville and the Mill is a passed on legacy.  Tour guides and greeters are always in need.  We provide the training and an intimate look at what the museum has to offer.   Help maintain the legacy of our local history!
